Hardy plant suitable for areas of low maintenance. Great as a barrier, Filler plant, wind breaks and soil erosion control. Fire retardant. Good drainage. Great silver hedging plant. Prune to keep a dense bushy habit. Bird, insect and Lizard attracting. 

And because it attracts beneficial insects, if you add it around your veggie patch you can significantly decrease pest and disease problems.

Edible properties : Young leaves - cooked. A salty flavour. The salt can be removed by briefly boiling the leaves in a couple of changes of water.
