Protea 'King' Seed grown 140mm

The King Protea is the most popular variety, having one of the largest flower heads in the protea family. This variety is propagated by seed, so they are all genetically distinct. The seeds are collected from populations of Protea cynaroides plants in South Africa that flower at various times, and so the King Proteas could flower at different times of the year. They are most likely to be pink flowering as this is genetically the most common colour for King flowers, however it is possible that some of the seedling Kings could be white or red.

They are stunning in the garden, on the patio and in flower arrangements.
