Trailing or climbling plant of coastal cliffs and dunes. Flowers are Yellow in late winter and spring and are sweetly fragrant. Leaves are thick and fleshy with young leaves being slightly hairy. 

Small animals and insects use this plant for shelter. Some regard this plant as a native succulent. 

Spreading to around 2m wide.
